Bowling.
As with football and boxing, Croy Bowling Club, which celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2003, has won acclaim at national level.
Before the Club went into abeyance for twenty years or so in the 1960s, it achieved a remarkable victory by winning the Scottish Rinks Championship of 1963. The winning team-members were ;
Bill Friel, John McColl,John O'Donnell and William McCarroll [Skip]
Since the early 1980s the Club has once more been an active concern. As we write, the Ladies Pairs are preparing to participate in the Scottish Championships of 2002 while Patrick McCrae has qualified for the Junior District Final of the Dunbartonshire Championship and is also a semi-finalist in the Junior Scottish District Championship (District 28) where he hopes to go through to the Junior Scottish Championship.
The Croy Bowling Club is a thriving organisation with a long history and a currently healthy membership with its own lovely green and busy clubhouse.
