Celtic Supporters Club.
The Club was founded in 1951 with Tommy McCann as Chairman, Tom Dealey as Secretary and Tom Dailly as Treasurer. Back then, a certain Fergus McCann who later became Chairman of Glasgow Celtic Football Club, was Social Convener of Croy Celtic Supporters Club. The Supporters Club celebrated its Golden Jubilee a little belatedly on 15th June 2002.
The Club has a long and honourable history of generosity to handicapped children to help finance their pilgrimages to Lourdes. In the year 2000, £2500 was given, in 2001, £2700 was donated and in 2002 the sum raised was a magnificent £3000. Besides their generosity to such charities, the Club gives support to other worthy causes in the Parish through the participation of their members as well as through fund-raising events. Recently, in June 2002, this included support for a Parish Centenary Celebration Gala-Day which was a tremendous success.
