The miners' row at Drumgrew was of the simple brick with tarry roof type with its many shortcomings and was demolished in the late 1940's / early 1950's.
A number of miners'  families of Polish and Lithuanian origin lived here and these are remembered by some of the older Croy folk who attended Holy Cross Croy School with them.
